The place is really beautiful. The location of the place is beyond category - simply a scenery. We really enjoyed staying there for 4 days - where in the whole world do you find such a paradise? At Hidden Paradise they have a very good kitchen whether you go for breakfast lunch or dinner. It is our impression that there is a very high hygenic standard concerning food at the place. You really ger value for money here
You must be prepared for some noise in the very early morning from poultry and from religious ceremonies. We decided to take it as an interesting experience. As north europeans we needed blankets for the beds - we were ironically freezing during nights
The peace and quiet and also very safe for the children
Lack of tv, kettle and expensive to get around using the hotel driver
The views are wonderful lovely clean beach snorkelling diving and beautiful gardens
Nice staff, clean and nice environment. Nice food presentation at the restaurant.
A bit disappointed that no hot water is available in the room.
large room, close to beach, nice bathroom, food was good.
They tried to overcharge us, count your restaurant bills! We found animal droppings on bed twice. Very quiet area, only thing to do is diving/beach. No ATM or anything nearby.
The bungalow was quite large and the resort was in a nice garden setting and quite peaceful. Located right on a nice black sand, non pebbly beach (most of beaches in this area are pebbly). A little snorkeling place is close to this beach.
The breakfast was small with little options. Also take a good book, as there is no TV in the room (which on one hand is nice, however there is nothing happening in the area most nights).
The venue was great, the staff were fantastic and the food was incredible. We had an extremely enjoyable experience there and would certainly recommend it to others. We would give that hotel a 4 star rating. Wonderful, relaxing experience and the snorkelling was to die for. All in all very positive feedback.
Nothing - the whole experience was most rewarding.
What I particularly liked was the eagerness of the staff to make us comfortable. They went out of their way to respond to all our requests, even to the point of allowing us to use the computer in their office to check our email. The breakfasts were good (except for the coffee), the pool was very convenient and there were few people badgering us to buy souvenirs, take tours etc.I particularly enjoyed snorkeling in the bay. I was amazed at how calm the ocean was most of the time. The other bonus of the area is that there are a large number of restaurants and cafes along the street that offer very good food at exceptionally low prices.
The only things I did not like about Hidden Paradise Cottages were: 1) The Balinese coffee is too strong and too bitter to drink. I had to resort to instant coffee for the sake of my stomach. 2) The area is not well populated, so someone who likes to shop would be disappointed with the opportunities Amed presents. I would recommend it for someone who is willing to live in a very quiet spot and enjoys snorkeling and diving. The Japanese wreck, Liberty is close by as a favourite diving site.
Location by the beach and in the quiet vilage of Amed, far from agressive commerce and far from very touristic areas in Bali. Easy access to shorkeling sites. In fact excelent snorkeling just 3-4 meters from thea beach of Lipah. Small but nice pool. Staff at the hotel's restaurant.
Old wardrobe, smelling of mould. Dirty wash basin in the bathroom. In fact it seemed like beeing not cleaned since several months. Some bungalows in the resort were in progress of reconstruction, causing noise in the morning.
The accomodation is very confortoble, with spaciocios room and beautifull bath room. The breakfast was. very good and enough to start your day.
We really like everything specially the staff .The only think they can improve is the food in the restaurante. The food was not that good for the price that charge, i think that could be much better.
Comfortable bungalows in pretty gardens close to beach and snorkeling spot Kid friendly nice pool Excellent chill out spot to relax providing you like black sand Very enjoyable stay nothing seemed to be a bother or a problem
The newr bathrooms are better than the older style ones Didn't bother me but some people might like more lights
Very child friendly, helpful staff. Quiet, pleasant place, right on the beach. Room was large and very clean. Facilities in the room were basic, but sufficient. The bathroom was fantastic and the kids loved the large outdoor stone bath, an absolute winner.
Not a big problem, but there is a new room/cottage being built right in front of the cottage we had (on the beach front). The noise was minimal and the builders were all very friendly.
Friendly staff. They offered another location 200 meters down the road if we where not comfortable with our room. We stayed one night and took the other location which we were much happier with, however the service was not as good at the second place.
Black sand on beach.
The location was quiet and relaxing after the hustle and bustle of Denpassar/Kuta/Seminyak. The reef was beautiful with excellent snorkelling. The room was very clean with good design featuring indoor/outdoor bathroom, efficient airconditioning, and king size bed. The gardens are very well kept and attractive. Being right on the beach the restaurant featured pleasant sea-breezes. The food was good quality if a little bland presumably to cater to the european palate.
The "included" breakfast menu was restricted to a choice of 3 items and portions were not very satisfying.
Direct acces to the beach and kind staff. Outdoor bathroom. Nice scenary The wrecked boat is awesome!!! Best place to do snorkeling, seeing tons of fishes and lots of beautiful corals. Just need to take a boat
Lots of lezards running over the place. No TV. Basic room. Not direct to the snorkeling spot, need to to take boat
